In this photoshop tutorial you will learn how to create a band-aid style navigation buttons for your website.







Step one:

Start by creating a new document in Photoshop. Leave all the default settings except for the canvas dimensions, use 700×400 pixels with a white background.

Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool, above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 12 px and check anti-aliased. Create a new layer and draw a rounded rectangle with #FF6C00 color shade and 151×30 px dimensions.




Step two:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, and Gradient Overlay blending options to your orange rounded rectangle layer. Then set the layers opacity level to 45%.













Step three:

In a new layer draw a black rounded rectangle with 143×21 px dimensions.




Step four:

Cut the bottom half of your black rounded rectangle. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option and set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.



Step five:

Create a new layer and draw a #FFA971 color shade line then below that add a #FFF2DB color shade line.




Step six:

Select your Horizontal Type Tooll, above your screen under the options palette set the font family to Arial, bold, 12 pt, crisp and black color shade. In a new text layer type the title of your band aid style button.
